Digital & Hand Drawings

I am an artist by birth, and it si inherited from generations, my inspirations are Comics and Animations. Currently I am residing and working in Dubai Media City as illustrator, storyboard and cartoonist. I don't have a proper education in arts, but for the sake of learning techniques and skills, I did a short course in Fine Arts from Karachi Institute of Arts & Craft. 

In 1994, I started my carrier as an Editorial Cartoonist from a Business Newspaper known as daily FINANCIAL POST Newspaper. Almost ten years I did Editorial cartoons for daily FINANCIAL POST as full timer and did part time and freelance also and gained lot of popularity both nationally & internationally. Somehow my portfolio doesn't carry the most of it. 

I did my first solo exhibition in 2001, in which I put my 150 of best of the editorial cartoons I did in last 7 year of my Journilistic carrier and also enjoyed being a part of several group shows as well. I was also honored by the Ministry or culture and sports Affairs and University of Karachi for my services as a Editorial Cartoonist.

Like all other children, I was also very found of watching cartoon animations. But being an artist my point of view was always been different from others. So, I did't limited myself to print media I also tried my skills and experties in the field of animation business as well. 

Inspired by the magically moving cartoons of MGM, Classical Japanese anime and legendary Disney animation, I studied and did some 2D and 3D animation projects for TV commercials and short stories at The POST AMAZERS post productions.

This was entirely a different experience, and trully it's a world of magic. Animation is not an easy job, it is like cooking with ingredients. A good animation needs a good Digital matte painting, Character Designing, and 3D texture Artist.

Now a days, along with movies 3D imaging & Animation are more into Gaming Business also. I also did some textures and character designing for Games and it's really fun.

Character Animation is a new business in Pakistan, and recently introduced in year 2000 and soon it will becoming an industry, so to creating awareness I also played my role to introduce the value and importance of traditional and 3D animation, storyboarding, Character Designing and Drawing, in Universities and multimedia institutions. 

 I am also a council member of Karachi Press Club and Karachi Union of Journalists since 1997.
